GP-Tune Transform updates + New GP-Tune Plugin

The GP-Tune Transform has just been updated with support for the GoPro HERO13 and further enhancements. Additionally, the new GP-Tune OFX Plugin has also been released with support for multiple NLE and VFX applications such as Assimilate Scratch, Vegas Pro, Fusion, Nuke and many more!

The updated GP-Tune Transform has just been released and includes support for the new HERO13.

This release includes changes to the parameter names as well as a new “Generic” camera model setting. If updating from a previous version, a reselection of the correct “Camera Model” will be required.

This release also changes the behavior of the Tone Mapping function to be performed after the target Gamma & Color Space transforms.

In addition to these changes, all ACES IDTs now automatically clamp negative values.

Lastly, this version includes DCTL tooltips from Resolve 19.1 onwards and the code has also been optimized with AMD GPU related issues now resolved!

GP-Tune Transform v3.0 is available as a free update for existing customers. Simply browse to the downloads section of your account page to get the new release.

GP-Tune Plugin

As the saying goes, “work smarter, not harder” and the GP-Tune plugin was recently released with a multitude of smarter features and additional NLE/VFX compatibility!

Whilst the GP-Tune Transform was developed predominantly for Davinci Resolve (Studio) and offered limited functionality with the free version of Davinci Resolve, the GP-Tune Plugin uses the OpenFX plugin standard and supports a broad number of NLE and VFX applications!

Users with the free version of Davinci Resolve or other NLE applications such as Vegas Pro and Assimilate Scratch or even VFX applications such as Fusion, Nuke and Natron can now accurately work with correcting & grading GoPro footage!

The Plugin also incorporates smarter automations to speed up workflows! Using GP-Log? Select GP-Log from the Curve Preset and the Camera Color automatically changes to WIDE. Using DaVinci Wide Gamut in Resolve? Select DWG from the Color Space and the Timeline Gamma changes to DaVinci Intermediate. These are some examples of small but time-saving automations which help make the grading experience much more efficient.
